Worm Gear Operated Wafer Butterfly Valve

Product Features

● Concentric Resilient-Seated Design: The centered disc and shaft structure works with an elastomer seat to provide dependable shut-off.
● Worm Gear Operation: Provides mechanical advantage, smooth operation, and controlled opening and closing.
● Wafer-Type Body: Compactly installed between pipeline flanges, reducing installation space and overall system weight.
● Bidirectional Sealing: Suitable for isolating flow in either direction under specified operating conditions.
● Position Indication: The gearbox indicator provides a clear visual indication of the valve position.
● Multiple Material Options: Body, disc, stem, and seat materials can be selected according to the service conditions.
● Low Pressure Loss: The streamlined disc provides relatively low flow resistance when the valve is fully open.
● Flexible System Integration: Suitable for common PN- and Class-rated flange systems according to the selected configuration.

Overview

Overview

The Worm Gear Operated Wafer Butterfly Valve is a concentric, resilient-seated valve designed for reliable isolation and flow control in water supply, wastewater treatment, HVAC, fire protection, irrigation, and general industrial piping systems.

The valve is installed between two pipeline flanges and uses a worm gearbox to rotate the disc through 90 degrees. Compared with direct lever operation, the gearbox provides increased mechanical advantage, smoother movement, and more controlled opening and closing, making it particularly suitable for larger sizes or applications requiring more stable manual operation.

The resilient rubber seat provides reliable bidirectional sealing under specified operating conditions. Multiple material options are available for the body, disc, stem, and seat, allowing the valve configuration to be selected according to the medium, pressure, temperature, corrosion conditions, and project requirements.

Product Advantages

Product Advantages

● Smooth Manual Operation: The worm gearbox reduces the operating effort required, especially for larger valve sizes.
● Reliable Resilient Sealing: The rubber seat provides effective shut-off for compatible media within the specified pressure and temperature range.
● Compact and Lightweight: The wafer body requires less installation space than a double-flanged valve.
● Flexible Material Selection: Different body, disc, stem, and seat combinations are available for water, wastewater, HVAC, seawater, and other compatible services.
● Controlled Opening and Closing: Gear reduction helps avoid rapid manual operation and provides better control of disc movement.
● Simple Installation: The valve is mounted directly between matching pipeline flanges.
● Convenient Maintenance: The simple concentric structure reduces the number of internal components and facilitates routine inspection.
